"2020 Vision"

Just typing that title made us chuckle-cringe a little bit, but honestly, it felt like a pretty appropriate way to kick things off.

We came into the end of 2019 in need of some rest, and as we reflected over the events of the last decade, it became clear to us why: because we’ve been busy!

For those of you who don’t know, our story as a band started back in 2012.

At the time we were playing most frequently in our local church, with a few acoustic shows at local venues here and there. It started as a hobby, then quickly snowballed into something we never expected — a full-on, busy, gigging band. We went from playing small shows, to full-band events at high-profile resorts and headlining slots at many local and regional festivals.

In the midst of a crazy busy-show calendar, we walked though some major milestones — Julia and Cory got married, Will graduated high school. There were job changes, life-transitions and roles (as well as band members) shifted.

In 2017, we released our very first album, “Clean Slate”, sold out our first venue, filmed music videos, traveled, learned and redefined our vision.

Then began creating again

In 2018, we started writing and rehearsing for our next studio release — spending time to really dial in our sound and create something that reflects who we are. We got back in the studio and in-between shows and other busy-life-things, we began building those songs, refining and remaking them into what they’ve ultimately become.

As we finish up the final stages of post-production on these three new songs, we feel it’s an opportunity to reflect and do a bit of reinventing for ourselves. Shifting our focus from what we’ve been doing for the better part of the last decade, and stepping into a refreshed vision of who we are as a band (and a family) and where we ultimately want to go. Because we believe that we’ve been tasked with more than just playing music. We believe in the power of our words, our gifts and our story.

Our story is love. For each other, and for the people around us.
And our mission is hope

So here we are, at the start of a new decade with a fresh set of eyes and a renewed sense of hope and expectance for this next season. There will be new music. There will be more. We expect growth and to weather new normals within our family and our band, but we’re excited. And we’re ready to pull back the curtain and give you all - our friends - a glimpse at our lives, our family and our hearts, as we navigate this music-thing that we do.

Stay tuned friends, there’s a lot of good stuff coming your way soon!
